Have history of endomitriosis + ?adhesion and bowel problems. Misdignosed 4 long time, ie.IBS. 2 days ago blood results showed positive CA125 (for cancer cells).GP urges 4 immediate surgery. May be haemorrhage ovarian cyst or worst ovarian cancer. Need to find very good gyno + specialist bowel surgeons as surgery may be quite complex.Have no private insurance. GP left to me to choose surgeons as I wasn't satisfied with his referrals. Can somebody please advise me how to get this info FAST. Don't have much time.I live in Melbourne. How do I know who is really good. Friends + family can't really help. Thank you all for your help.

Is there a university hospital close by? That's where I'd turn for help finding a specialist

Reply:i would talk it over with my doctor. i'm quite she could recommnend someone in your area. are you in the usa or is that melbourne austraila? i liked the university hospital idea. just tell them you want an attending not a resident.... attendings generally have the best experience for someone as your self. best wishes!
