For women...?

has anyone had tubal ligation and was happy or regretted it? ever sit there and think what if i get remarried? is there a chance to get ovarian cancer if you get tubal ligation (mother had ovarian cancer %26amp; tubal)? also what about partial hysterectomy (uterus) because of painful periods?

For women...?
I've had my tubes tied for 7yrs and have never once regretted it. I only have one child.
Reply:You really need to talk to a doctor and weigh out your options. and see what is the better alternative for you. Only a physician can help you with this one. Good luck
Reply:I had a tubal and regretted it.. I have repeatedly gotten ovarian cysts due to having my tubes tied, but that is okay because despite the fact that I have a tubal I am also pregnant so it worked out great, but I would not ever go back and have it done causes to many female problems that doctors do not seem to tell you about..
Reply:I guess that depends on whether you have kids or not. I have had both a tubal and a partial histerectomy at the ages of 30 and 36 respectively. But I have four children. I still went through a pewriod of depression for a short time. If you have not had kids and are younger than 40 I would wait.
Reply:I had a tubal after my second child was born...I do regret it...I was 24 and divorced 2yrs later....I remarried 6 yrs later and wish we could of had a baby....but I am in the adoption waiting period now, hope we will have a child within the next 6-8 months. So now I realize and see how many children are in the world that need a Mommy and Daddy. I think my regrets are less now.
Reply:ha ha I call it my miracle surgery and I love it love it love it...no more periods what more can I ask for...I did have a tubal a few years prior to that. I have one boy and one girl and that is plenty for me...but then again I am 32 yrs old.I don't have any regrets as you can tell...I had a fibroid tumor which was 2 pounds the Dr. said it was like being 18 weeks pregnant. But anyhow think about it and if you have and doubts don't do it and put it on the back burners or maybe you will regret it..
Reply:I had a tubal ligation after my second child was born and never regretted it. As far as hysterectomy, it depends on how old you are and if you want any more children. I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago, and I'm lovin' life! No periods!!!! I do take hormones, though, because of the hot flashes and night sweats brought on by the hysterectomy, it threw me into menopausal symptoms. Other than that, thought, all is great!!!!
Reply:I had a tubal ligation and yes I regret it so much I was 28 when I had it ,I was married and had lost a baby girl ,and my 2 births of my sons was very ,very rough 32 hours -30 hours of labor one natural and one c-section ,the natural done so much damage they would not let me even try with the second son .now Im re-married and would have loved to had a child by this man .would love to .broken hearted at times for him he has no children of his own .and reversal of my tubes is slim and very costly .after my tubal my period became more painful.if I were you I would not do it ever ,I have endometerosis very bad and i wont have a hysterectomy done because im 42 and the doctors have let me suffer and would do it saying I was to young so now I just have to deal with the pain .my sis had a partical and now she is going to have to go back for a complete so why bother with a partical .good luck and dont ever get a tubal you will regret it later .
