Does anyone have any comments on this data concerning stem cell research? Embryonic benefits = NONE.?
Are you trying to make a political statement?
I am very much against abortion. However, embryonic stem cell research is NOT abortion. Those embryos will NEVER become a human. They will be disposed of anyways.
Scientifically, embryonic stem cells are easier to work with in research than adult stem cells.
I am familar with many treatments with adult stem cells and, I am quite skeptical of most of your list. The true list oif approved treatments is very limited.
Stop the propaganda. Support the science!!!!
Reply:If current applications are how you define results, you are correct. It is not a scam. Embryonic stem cells ARE easier to work with. They are in a less differentiated state. Report It
Reply:Please take your political nonsense out of the areana where people are literally fighting for their very lives. How ironic is it that people claim to be pro-life but they don't mind that people are dying from cancer. Sick. Report It
Reply:What is the question? There is already a treatment for cancer patients called stem cell transplant/rescue which has been in use for about 20 years. Patients have their own stem cells harvested from their blood (similar to dialysis), frozen, and than after high dose chemotherapy the patients own stem cells are given back via an IV (like plasma) to regrow the immune system.

Do not confuse stem cell transplant with research that is being done on embryonic stem cells. My understanding of the reasons behind using embryonic cells is that the stem cells that we carry all age with us. Embryonic stem cells are new and have no signs of age thus the reasons why research is needed to see if age is a factor in the ability of a stem cell to replicate into a new cell without disease. Without well documented research we will never know these answers.
