Hi,so long as you keep up the repayments on the loan your credit rating will go up.Have been in debt through unemployment %26amp; was amazed at how quick my credit rating went back up.Good luck to you %26amp; your new family.

dump the credit card thinking...cash is king
Reply:You will get a credit card if you pay on your loan. However I'd really think about it as the intrest is awful
Reply:Just take time to rebuild your credit..
Also, get a credit report and look for any incorrect activity. My bf was refused by Discover Bank because he has a charge-off w/ Capital One.. he paid them but they said he never did and he had paid with a money order so had no record for himself.. and almost 7 yrs later it haunts him. His credit score is favorable but not spectacular.
Pay all of your other debts on time, all the time.. and pay more than the minimum on your loans or other credit cards.. you will build the credit in no time.
I deal with a credit union, they are more personal and will understand if you've missed a payment or two due to hard times.. and will HELP you.. not try and get every dime they can out of you..
Good luck....
Reply:Pay all of your bills on time and in full. Work steadily and save a little of your income, and you will have a better credit score when you have repaid your HSBC loan in full.
Just be patient and industrious. I wish you the best of luck!
Reply:first of all, it will take a few years to rebuild your credit, don't think that there is a magic way to fix it. Some ways to start, some are common sense...but probably need to be said anyways
1) pay all bills on time
2) Make a budget, and stick to it
3) for the actual credit card, you can start off with a secure credit card, it doesnt matter how bad your credit score is. This will also improve your credit score, which can make getting those regular credit cards easier.
4) Never put anything on your credit card that you have not budgeted for....Never carry a balance on any card...
5) Live below your means.

Reply:so sorry for your loss, don't get any type of credit cards. save until you can pay cash for what you need.think yourself lucky they refused you now, before they entice you to have more and more, you have a new family now, you can manage without these bandits.
Reply:You have all heard of the big name credit cards from American Express, Visa and/or Mastercard. The credit card market is going with many other companies having their own credit cards. American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover Credit card and Student Credit Cards have been the leading credit cards. The American Express credit card would be the top choice for many people looking for a credit card.
