Is my aunty going to be ok even though she has cancer?

My aunty has Ovarian cancer and she has had it for two months and she is getting medicine to make the cancer go away. Is she going to be ok? What can I do to make her cancer go away faster and make her feel better? I do not know what to do because I am only 7 and I do not know much about medicines. Please help. Thank you.

Hi Jilly. It must be scary to have someone that you love to be very sick. The best thing that you can do for your aunty is give her lots of love. She doesn’t feel well at all, so she may not smile too much but you know what… if you draw her a nice picture or make her a card it, will make her feel better than any medicine that the doctors can give her. Many people get well after ovarian cancer. The medicine makes them really sick and weak though. Be nice to your aunty and send lots of prayer to God.

If you really do have an aunt with cancer, talk to her or your folks about her condition. Cancer can be quite serious.
Reply:jilly dear, we are in same boat only my brother has cancer from top of one his lungs to surround the main arteries on his heart trying cut off the blood flow. there is nothing you can do dear to qucken aunties cancer that is up to her, her dr's %26amp; most of all to God. but, you can just be there for her like a good caring niece you are. bless you %26amp; I for one will be praying for your family.

There is nothing you can do directly to make it go away.


She is being treated by people who have many many years of learning medicine and experience with dealing with cancer.


They will do the best they can do.
Reply:Cancer is a very serious disease. I do hope that your aunty will be alright, though. No one really knows what causes cancer, and there really is no "cure" for it, although there are some treatments that the doctors can give her to help her feel better. Sometimes they can treat the cancer well enough so that it disappears or goes into remission, and she can live a healthy life for many years.





There's really not anything that you can do to make her cancer go away, but she would probably really appreciate some extra company while she's recovering. You might want to make her a card or scrapbook or something to cheer her up and let her know that you're thinking of her and that you love her.





If you still have questions, talk to your parents or your aunty -- they will know more about the kind of cancer that she has and what the doctors are doing to help her.
Reply:First off, talk to your mom because its important she knows how you feel. Your aunty is getting help from doctors and they will do the best they can. Worrying wont help her but you should let her know how much you care about her...that will help. Make her cards or a necklace or just call her to tell her you care about her.
