Breast Cancer question - for ladies?

I've been seeing alot of commercials lately for BRAC annalysis - a blood test that can be taken to see if you are at a higher risk of breast or ovarian cancer. Here's my question - would you want to know? or would you rather not have it in the back of your mind?





my mom is a BC survivor, her mom also had BC - i know i need keep track of my health - but not sure what i would do -

Breast Cancer question - for ladies?
I'd rather not know, but just choose a lifestyle as if the test showed I might get cancer. Either way, you should try to live a more healthy lifestyle. More and more studies are showing that a lot of cases of cancer could have been avoided with a healthier lifestyle. Eat tons and tons of fruits, veggies, and whole grains. They're nature's chemotherapy.
Reply:I feel I would like to know, I have ovarian cancer stage 4. I would love to have my daugthers to be able to have a blood test, to buy my mind at rest.
Reply:It would be better to know.
Reply:well, i guess i'd really rather not know because of the worry it would cause me, but...if there was a way to prevent if it I knew, I'd definately want to do that. I interviewed a woman about breast cancer and she told me how important it is to find it early, but I also wouldn't want to know I will probably get it and keep worrying about it even before I have any cancer.
