Mom is 4 months post-op for ovarian cancer surgery, but still has the same pain. Initially oncologist said it was from the tumors, but they are shrinking a lot...but pain level is still the same? She is getting IV dilaudid right now, but when she goes home it will be pills...will the pain be controlled ok this way? Any tips?
How to deal with pain from cancer?
If your Mom is still in the hospital she should have access to the Pain Team of doctors. You should ask them their opinion. If she is not being treated by a Pain Team than there are some websites that you can look at that might be helpful.
NCCN: Cancer Pain Treatment Guidelines

MD Anderson Pain Control

NCI: Unstanding Cancer Pain

There is no reason that anyone should suffer with cancer pain. Insist that the doctors solve this problem for your mother.
And, finally the National Comprehensive Cancer Network provides a guide for the treatment of Ovarian Cancer. If you havn't read it yet, here is the site:

Reply:To bad your mother had to undergo surgery. There is an old indian treatment that works for getting rid of cancer, and healing. It's called 4 herb tea, or Essiac. Do a google search on Essiac and you will find a world of info. The US government ran this nurse out of the country cause she would not sell them the formula. It works. I've had two uncles cured from cancer. Both had two weeks to two months to live. It also works on animals. I've cured two dogs. One had cancer in the brain really bad. It's cheap, you have nothing to loose. Here is the link for the tea. http://www.herbalhealer.com/essiac.html
Reply:I very much feel your and your mom's pain, having gone through this. The pills didn't help my mom as much as I wish they could have, it often took a while to take effect and didn't always do the job. Moving around often hurt her. A heating pad sometimes worked a little. Sadly we had little way of comforting her, just make sure she gets them before the pain comes on or as early as possible.
