i keep getting sharp pains in my stomach were i think my ovaries are. is it normal or could it be a side affect of my birth control?, or maybe ovarian cancer?:(
What are the simptoms of ovarion cancer.?
The most common symptoms are bloating, abdominal/pelvic pain, trouble eating or feeling full very quickly, and urinary problems (like needing to pee a lot.) These of course are symptoms of a LOT of other things (like something non-fatal, like a UTI)--but if they occur every day and are very persistent, you should think about being screened for ovarian cancer. Either way, you should go to the doctor to get it checked out.
Reply:Please consult a doctor or Gynecologist about your problem. Apparently from your question it's recurring. Don't wait, see the doctor. It might be serious and might not.
Reply:I agree. It could be serious. The problem is, symptoms from cancer rarely show up. Just see your gynecologist. Make sure you write down the questions you want answered and what type of pain it is. Is it sharp and stabbing, or a dull ache like cramps?
The timing of the symptoms is important, too. If the pain comes roughly 10-14 days into your cycle, it could just be painful ovulation. Best to have it checked, though.
