Ovarian Cysts Help PLEASE.?

Has anyone had ovarian cysts??? I am worried and need help.

Question Details: I have just come back from 4 days in hospital. I was admitted in from emergency on Tuesday night because I was bleeding a lot in the nether region. I would stand up %26amp; blood would gush out in clumps like a tap had been turned on. I had a termination 2 months ago %26amp; had complications. After a month I was still bleeding %26amp; was given some tablets %26amp; told everything was ok. Yet when my next period came (on tuesday) blood was streaming EVERYWHERE. Very scary experience. They nearly gave me a blood transfusion.

I was given tests done %26amp; they said I still had retained products. They also said they found a 7cm ovarian cyst. I have to go back in 2 months to have it checked up on, but I am realy worried. I was told it is big, %26amp; I have looked on websites %26amp; I can tick some of the symptoms of ovarian cancer. The hospital knows I have these symptoms, but they recomended that I go on the pill and wait. Should I be worried? Has anyone else been through this? What was the outcome?

Reply:I knew someone who had ovarian cysts a few years ago. I can't remember much about it, but she had an operation and I know she was fine after that. Sorry I can't be of any more help..
Reply:They will wait to see if the cyst is growing or not. As to the prognosis, it will still have to be determined if it is benign or malignant. Malignant is the problematic cancer type as benign can just be taken out by surgery and does not usually recur.

The retained products maybe the cause of your bleeding. You underwent D%26amp;C while in the hospital, right? It should subside after the operation.
Reply:whilst pregnant with my son, they thought i had an ectopic pregnancy, but it turned out to be a ovarian cyst the size of an orange, they couldn't do anything because i was pregnant and it wasn't harming my son, but after he was born i was really ill, so i had to key hole surgery, where they found the chocolate cyst had burst and i had endromitrosis, i also lost loads of blood. go to your own doctor for advice, good luck

Reply:I get ovarian cysts almost monthly and have been reassured each time by my dr that they will follow them closely. They usually do an ultrasound and check the size. then a few weeks later they will repeat it. They may do a biopsy to check if it's cancerous or not. Usually they are beign and they burst. They do hurt but will go away
Reply:I am a Ovarian Cancer survivor... It has been one year now.

Cysts are very treatable now a days, especially if you have a good OBGYN who is intense and and through.

There is a shot they can order for you to shrink the Cysts which is called LUPRON.

The cyst I had was the size of a large grapefruit and and had gotten so large that my uterus was stretched out to the size of a 5 month pregnancy.

With this shot (I ended up with two shots 6 months apart) it shrank the cyst enough for them to do surgery safely.

Unfortunatly when they got inside, they found cancer...

This is why is vitally important to have good communication with your doctor.

Another test they need to have you get is a Vaginal Ultrasound.. They will be able to actually look at your ovaries. This could be a lifesaver!!!!

Also, there is nothing to stop Ovarian Cancer, but you can do some things to help prevent it.... This is why it's called The Silent Killer.....

Be wise and listen to your body when something doesn't feel normal... Especially when it comes to your female organs..

There are a few things to look for as signals of Ovarian Cancer...

BLOATING

FEELING FULL QUICKLY WHEN EATING

CONSTIPATION

GAS

Birth control pills are one of the best preventatives I recommend you follow through with that suggestion from your doctor.

Get your Vaginal Ultrasound.......

Get your CA125........

Get on the Pill........

Talk with your OB about Lupron.......

There are also two spices you should be taking....

Ginger

Turmeric

These are just spices you cook with, but you can go to a health food store and purchase them in capsul form.

Take 4 of each every single day.

I have done so much research on SPICES and DISEASE... It's remarkable on the medicinal healing effects I found....

I myself take about 27 different herbs and spices every day.. They have truly played a vital part in my healing process....

I also have done some motivational speaking with Cancer patients....

My thoughts and prayers are with you....

I personally think you need not worry so much. Take all of that energy you've focused on fear, and let it be a POSITIVE ENERGY... Faith and belief will bring healing to your mind and body....

Trust me........ I've been there and done that...

Sincerely........
